My friend, Michael E. Tank, is a Vietnam Vet. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1969 and served as a Scout/Sniper. In 2000, he started writing poetry and short stories to help him better understand his experiences.
I began reading his work in 2004. It’s vivid imagery touched me deeply. I obtained permission to publish a selection of his poems that pertained particularly to his service in Vietnam. “Images of Vietnam” is now in it’s second printing. Veterans of other wars can relate to these universal experiences and classrooms of students are able to read these personal narratives and email their questions to the writer.
All of Mr. Tank's proceeds from the sale of this book will go to his son Scott, also a Marine, to help pay the expenses incurred during his successful custody fight for his daughter. Your support is appreciated.
